12,000 Elite Cheer and Dance Athletes Descend on the Gold Coast for Australia’s largest Cheer & Dance Nationals Ever!
The Gold Coast is set to sparkle with rhinestones, glitter, and bows as more than 12,000 of Australia’s top cheer and dance athletes, along with over 30,000 spectators, converge on the city for the 2024 Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF) Nationals for Cheerleading & Dance.
Running from December 5th to 9th, the event will feature over 2,400 teams competing across four action-packed days, making it one of the largest mass participation events ever hosted by the city, and the largest Cheer & Dance Nationals ever for Australia!
This celebration of athleticism and artistry is a key highlight on the Gold Coast’s event calendar, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of the nation’s elite cheer and dance community.
AASCF Managing Director Kerry Perry said that AASCF is thrilled to be back at one of our teams favourite event locations. The AASCF Gold Coast Nationals is widely known as a must do event, with competitors & families extending their stays to make the most of their trip to Queensland.

"Our dedicated team has been preparing for the past 18 months for this exceptional weekend, and are feeling beyond prepared to provide Australia with a world class event.”
The 2024 AASCF Nationals is the largest cheer and dance event ever held outside the United States, highlighting the continued growth of the sport in Australia. Teams will compete for the prestigious title of National Champion, with select teams earning bids to represent Australia at the 2025 IASF World Cheerleading and Dance Championships in Florida, USA.
